STYCXONYCX aka David Croft

StycxOnycx is an experimental sound composer, musician, writer-performer with over 20 years experience in radio broadcasting, voice acting, writing and performing. Beginning with benign sources StycxOnycx developes strange new instruments from natural sounds, voice samples, machine noises, etc... via digital manipulation creating confronting sonic-textured sculptures which many have described as "aural" cinema.

StycxOnycx' main goal is to confuse the responses to sound so that different relationships with the audience may be created, even if never captured, recorded for posterity. He has been heard on 2JJJ-FM, 2SER-FM, 2MBS-FM, Radio UNE, Streetradio.net and 5AD Adelaide and has appeared in print in Spindrift, Home Brew, Adelaide University Literary review and the Sydney Morning Herald. Stycx has collaborated with RichMachine on a performance art piece titled SEEING PLACTU, shown at the Tap Gallery. StycxOnycx lives in Sydney Australia.
