 Hi, my name is Bernard von Hessberg. A lot of people may know me from my countless street performances throughout Europe and Australia. I reproduce art works of old masters and produce commission works in different media such as pastel, acrylic and oil on different surfaces. My main experience and passion is reproducing Renaissance paintings with pastel on canvas and Impressionists with acrylic. To support myself I became a street artist practicing and showing my work to countless people in many cities around Europe and Australia. In Italy this is an actual profession called Madonnari that existed since the Middle Ages. People show their appreciation for me bringing my art into their public spaces by donating a few coins, hence allowing me to cover my costs and support at least part of my living. My goal is to continue to bring my artwork and street performances to many more people around the planet.
