Soulprojector
was started in Sydney, Australia in late 2006. It was created to bring different art-forms together and place them in a live-performance situation. The original members met at the Tap Gallery, Darlinghurst, to develope ideas and mix visual art, photography, film and video, live music and performance. Comfortable in front of cinema screens, Soulprojector has the ability to fuse the lot into an effective presentation.

The concept was put into motion by Sydney artist and musician RichMachine. Original members include Ultra T. Regatz, StycxOnycx, Bee and Flower. It was on a small scale and contained a large amount of improvisation. Chance meetings with other musicians, with the same interests, led to the formation of MACHINISO. They have since progressed with both a dvd and cd release.

Using the internet, digital technology and our own website, we will attempt to document the history of both Soulprojector and its sponsored projects. 2011 looks like being a crazy year as we step up a gear. Our last performance in the Emergenza band comp was accepted well by all the punters.

It's probably fair to say that Soulprojector is a showcase of different talents. The Archive is gradually expanding to cover more people with creative talents. Using connections to the world wide web, we will provide external links to personal websites and contact details.

No funding of any sort has been acquired through grants and awards. We somehow float regardless thanks to the members within these pages. If you feel like helping with the continued existence of this site, you can send a donation through Paypal!

Another way you can support SOULPROJECTOR is to purchase one of our cds or dvds. MACHINISO, STYCXONYCX, STUD AND TRACK, RICHMACHINE, KENT PARKSTREET have music and multimedia stuff. Toby Zoates, Karl Walton and Bernard Von Hessberg have some original art and prints for sale.

Websites that Soulprojector has helped get online are:

The Piccolo Bar, Kings Cross, Australia.
